The "patios" of Córdoba were named World Heritage in 2012. The origin of the "patios" comes from the Muslim and Roman culture, they have been an important part of the house because one of its functions was keeping the house cool in summertime.

Since they are very common in the Córdoba houses, now we celebrate the "Festival de los Patios" during the first two weeks of May so people can learn more about their history and tradition.
